Dehradun and beyond... Trek to Nagtibba

Hello everyone

Here I am... back again with details of my trek to Nagtibba, a peak beyond Dehradun and Mussorrie.

I was accompanied by my 11 year old daughter, and got back with memories to cherish ... Forever !! 😃

We boarded our Traveller along with the others, who had booked for the trek , from the Dehradun  railway station.

Took the Mussorie route,  but of course.. did get stuck in a long traffic jam ( upon entering Mussorie). As a result were behind schedule by almost more than an hour.

We reached late for lunch at Pantwari, therefore the organiser arranged for packed food for all of us. After getting recharged , we were ready for a 5 hour long uphill trek from Pantwari to the base camp.

The climb was pretty steep at many places, however the views were mesmerising, which would take away the strain and tiredness......

It was a pleasure to see the place litter free, seems like actual nature lovers visit this place.

Guys a humble request ....
            Let's be responsible tourists...
Let's leave our Earth a better place for our future generations !!

We enjoyed the fresh cool breeze, rested on and off,  reached our base camp at around 7 p.m. it was dusk by then. I along with my daughter were amongst the first few to reach our camp....
Felt like a real accomplishment !

Got to choose our tent which was on twin sharing basis, had snacks (very tasty pakoras and tea).  Changed into something warm, and were ready for the bonfire 🔥 ....

Dinner was good and finally were off to bed, it was very chilly there... however we were looking forward to the early morning trek to the summit... Nagtibba.

The day started early next morning, we trekked for another 2 hours to the summit.
The views were breathtaking , especially as we saw the sunrise .... Saw snowclad peaks of bandarpuch.

After spending around 1 hour there, we headed back to the base camp . The trek downhill wasn't easy too but was surely a thrilling experience.

We had our breakfast at the camp and also visited the Nag devta temple which was just next to camp site. Post that  we got back on our trek downhill to Pantwari , where our Traveller was waiting for us.

This time we decided to take another route , instead of the Mussorie one,  to cut out the traffic. We reached Dehradun late in the evening around 8 p.m.
